Effects of contextual variables on strategic investment decision-making styles: An empirical study from Pakistan.

There is a gap in the literature of strategic investment decision making (SIDM) concerning links between context variables, infrastructure and SIDM practices (or styles) developing countries. This research aims to fill that gap. Survey data (N = 128) from manufacturing companies listed on Pakistan Stock Exchange was collected via an e-mailed questionnaire visits companies. Data are analyzed with factor analysis multiple regression analysis. The results reveal what we call four different styles emphases): managerial power- , financial analysis- top management- strategy- based investing. These considered be novel perspectives have not been discussed previous literature. We find high perceived profitability linked only investing style. Further, contextual such as legislation or local gas shortfalls, significant impact findings provide decision-makers analysts comprehensive picture decisions (SIDs) market. For example, firms may benefit analyzing their decision-making own context. no recent studies emphasis country specific issues.
